USS Nebraska Submarine Crew Visits Beatrice Bakery Company
The Nebraska Submarine, nicknamed “Big Red,” was commissioned in 1993, and several sailors made their way to Nebraska for the 20th anniversary celebration. The ship docks in Washington state. One of the stops the sailors made was to tour Beatrice Bakery Company the morning of June 17, 2013. Every holiday season, sailors on the USS Nebraska receive a shipment of fruitcakes from Beatrice Bakery Co. to mark the season, providing the continued Nebraska support the sailors appreciate.
